What are RAWs? What are hardsubs? What are softsubs? What are the differences?
ANSWER:
"RAW", this means that the video has absolutely NO subtitles.
A video with hardsubs means that the subtitles have been rasterized and burned into the video. When you play the file, the subtitles will show up, regardless of whether you want them to or not. The subtitles are essentially part of the video.
A video with softsubs means that the video itself is a RAW file, but there is another (text) file in the folder that contains the subtitles. Some media players will recognize the softsubs directly (or through a plug-in like DirectVobsub) and automatically play the subtitles along with the video file. CREDITS - D-ADDICTS TECH SUPPORT

How do I view subtitles with the video? What program do I need to view subtitles?
ANSWER:
First you need to download the subtitles which are usually labeled as .SRT. Download Media Classic Player, which can be found here. Once you've done that, UNINSTALL Real Player IF you have it. If you do not have Real Player, just install Media Classic Player & open it once you have done that.
Open the video file you want to view & then go to File > Load Subtitle. Wala! The subtitle should show when you open the video file and the subtitle, in the respected order.

If there's a problem requiring the rasterizing of subtitles or the subtitles won't load, click on this image to fix it.
